I now feel safe in the water.

Celebrity Sighting #BTTF (PrePosted)
I am a Celebrity Sighting post behind. Went to LA Podfest and was overwhelmed by how amazing it was. Then went to the Castro to celebrate with Doug Benson Back to the Future day! Don't have much more to say so I'll leave you with this.

License Plate Game 2015
This ended a while ago on Labor Day, but I have been busy, so here is my belated final tally.
States left:
Kentucky
Rhode Island
Vermont
I think Rhode Island is the new Delaware.

The Switch
Recently my department banned phones and earbuds at our desks. The first week has been hell. I realized today that when I put in my earbuds, I turn into a focused machine ready to generate some *bleeping*ing data. I had this moment of clarity exactly how Lincoln Hawk felt. It was deep.
Like a truck.

Delayed Reaction
I can't believe it took me so long to think of this. So glad someone took the time to make it happen.

Celebirty Sighting #Solid Gold
Solid Gold Soul is a series of impersonators of some of the greatest singers from Motown. I myself am not a huge fan of imitators, remakes, or live shows, and I had an amazing time rocking out during this show.
See it while you can. It's at the Nugget in Reno.
A special treat was Little Anthony appeared as himself and sang the one song he's contractually allowed. It was amazing and I find myself wanting to be a dancer. I can want all I want, but it looks so cool.

Celebrity Sighting #Sniff
Or should I say celebrity signing. Bald Bryan came to Northern California to sign copies of the now available in paperback Shrinkage. Considering this was my chance to make up for the lost photo from Laughs For Bald Bryan, I took off work early and went.
It was not a smooth trip as I had to abandon my husband at work despite planning to pick him up and taking him with me. I was stuck between two bridges and a hard place as the GPS told me that after being on the road for a half hour, my ETA was the same as when I left home. Being trapped without bridge toll, I call him and explained that he was to be left behind. I felt bad, but not entirely as this outing was more for me than him. He understood and gave me his blessing.
It was a great reading and I got my photo, but it felt a little less special without my taller half with me. Fun experience aside, I left thinking that the fun would have been better with my man to share it with me. Sappy, sure, but I think it's the maturity talking.

Game Time
I don't really understand the fanaticism of sports. I can get pumped up when I'm watching a game live, but this die hard loyalty boggles my mind. At work, there are many personalities different than my own that are really into this basketball playoff thing. Good luck to them and their team. I, on the other hand, will begin my own quest.
Now that I know it is from Memorial Day to Labor Day and not the when we are out of school (which was a pain in the ass when the summers off schedule went out the window in the fifth grade), I get to start my license plate game. I know I love it. And with a road trip approaching, I should get a good head start. Hooray for tradition! Or at least this one.
