Tonight I am supposed to purchase plane tickets to Ohio for my niece's graduation. I briefly considered making her graduation present the amount of money our tickets would have cost because I hate flying. Not to mention that I have not been on a plane in five years.
In Adam Carolla's new movie Road Hard, there is a scene where there is an emotional support dog on his flight. My perspective on this was bringing my dog on the plane would make things worse. I would never stop freaking out about potential crapping. How can you have a dog on a plane for that long(assuming a cross country flight) and he wouldn't be able to poop? And if you change planes, can you go outside to let him go, or will they not let you through security again?
I know some airports now have areas for dogs to go, but I still can't think of how this is okay. I am now thinking about how I am going to be away from my dog for four days. And he's new to us and never been away overnight, so he needs an emotional support human. I will be bringing mine to Ohio. Fortunately he's paying his own way. If he doesn't work, I always have my emotional support pills.
